Our Mission

We’ve had the same mission since we opened our doors in 1991:  Once you issue a valid invoice, you deserve to be paid what is due.  We work every claim we receive until our client is paid what is owed or we determine that your customer has gone out of business or is judgment proof.

Our collection team is of the highest quality because we hire the best!  We have fine-tuned our commercial collection techniques based on our business experience and our outstanding negotiation skills, leading to our 85% success rate on large viable claims.  Because of our excellent success rate, we are able to offer very competitive contingency rates for our services (10 – 25%).

We know exactly how to maximize our chances of success on every claim we work and we never use letter series, auto dialers, USA-based script reading collectors or overseas call centers.  Our collectors all have proven track records in negotiation and collections and hold college or graduate degrees.  Our collectors spend the time to really understand what is going on with your customer as well as the specific claim that is being worked.  We use our experience base and the claim specifics to come up with a custom collection strategy that will maximize the chances of collection success, and then we get you paid!

If our initial collection effort doesn’t yield payment, then we turn the claim over to our in house law firm and we do a full second collection effort, for the same competitive contingency rate you originally signed up for.  We solve 97% of our claims without having to litigate; however, if litigation is the only way to get paid, we have a network of collection attorneys throughout the USA that will take your case on a contingency basis, and we will continue to handle the claim for you throughout this process.

Our happy customers have given us many 5 star online ratings and we have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.  We are ready to help you with all your commercial collection needs.  Call us or fill out our simple Request a Free Consultation form and get started with us today!

Collection Agency Tips for Washington, D.C. Businesses

Adding a personal guaranty to your credit application will often make your past due accounts more collectible.  Obviously, not every customer will agree to provide a personal guaranty, but it’s a good idea to ask for one.  Signors can opt to cross out the term or refuse to sign the application if they are unwilling to guaranty their future purchases.  While a personal guaranty does not assure that you will get paid, the advantages of having one include:

  • It provides an additional source of payment (i.e., the guarantor).
  • If your customer’s business goes belly up, you can pursue payment from the personal guarantor.
  • The guarantor will view the guaranteed invoices as a higher payment priority than the non-guaranteed invoices.

In our experience, when owners see their businesses failing, they frequently spend the last few months obtaining credit that is not guaranteed, and use the final revenues to pay off invoices that are personally guaranteed.
